I’ve finally finished my Major in total. I just need to print it off, and then off to Office Works to get it bounded.

Now to conclude this long process, I’ve been meaning to say this word:

Ms Russo was able to go over my 5th draft and she gave it back to me today as well. Just two or three things to fix and its all good. I’ve been able to shorten my essay and get it to 2500 and 10%+. I also asked Sir today about this, and he said it will be treated quite strictly. So hopefully it kind of goes well…this part has made me nervous now. And my Major has to be bounded.

Apart from that, I’ve stuck by my schedule/plan, and I have been able to complete everything today that I needed to do.

Synopsis – done

Annotated bibliography – done

Bibliography (alphabetical order) – done

Title page – done (just have to ask Sir about this)

Proposal – done

Process Log – finishing now

ALL DONE!!!!

Now tomorrow all I need to do, is go over my essay one more time, just a slight touch of editing and fixing the referencing with ibid. And then its off to Office Works to get it bounded. HORRAH!!!!

At the moment, I’m feeling tired, yet confident that I’m going to get everything finished on time. phew!!!

FINISHED THE ESSAY!!! – not technically the Major though…

I just finished writing my 4th draft for my essay. I was able to get my 3rd draft off Ms Field which she edited for me. Because of her, I have now been able to name the interpretation of the negative views of PJII. It’s now called the “Perpetrator” interpretation of his wrongdoings. Which is excellent, because I needed one specific word to sum it up. I also talked to Ms Russo today about giving her my last draft for her tomorrow, to go over and give me any feedback and she will hopefully give it back to me on Thursday. I’ve also realised that my debate is also on, if PJII was an atypical pope or an epitome pope of the High Renaissance. So everything is becoming more clearer on my perception which I’ve included in my essay more today.

So everything is going according to plan on my checklist/schedule that I made- which is excellent. But apparently I heard today that our Major’s needed to be binded, and I’m not sure if this is true or not. So I need to see Sir about this before Friday or send him an email and hopefully he replies.

Tomorrow at home, I will be able to go over my Proposal, Title Page, Diary entries, Bibliography and Annotated bibliography. The pressure is good to get everything done, but it is also stressful as well. Luckily I have a double study tomorrow.

The only down part is that my essay is now 489 words (yes exactly) over. Which I need to cut down. I also need to ask Sir if we are allowed to go over by 10% like they do at universities.

Anyways, its bedtime for me, I’ve been working non stop on finalising my essay since 7:30pm and also getting mum to sit with me so I can talk through with her on my essay and what I could add in and take out.

Editing and Adding things into 4th Draft

Hello

During the weekend I was able to read through the books I got from the library and use the information about the role of the pope and include it into my essay. I’ve also been re-writing my introduction and writing my 2nd Annotated bibliography. However, I still need to get my other 3rd draft from Ms Field so I can edit my essay more and to get feedback from her.

I’ve been sick for 2 weeks now, which is rather annoying, so I didn’t go to school today, so I could rest, however I mostly spent the day on my Major. I have made another Plan for the week, where tomorrow I will hopefully get back my 3rd draft from Ms Field, and to finally finish my essay. I also need to talk to the girls in my class or Sir and ask what they did today while I was at home and if they got the declaration form. On Wednesday, I’m planning to give my essay to Ms Russo to get her final feedback on my essay. At home I will be finishing my last annotated bibliography, synopsis, printing off all my diary entries in order, to fix my proposal, and make my title page for my Major. On Thursday, hopefully I get my essay back from Ms Russo and I can do the final editing and fix my referencing.

Fingers crossed everything goes according to plan, even though its crunch time.

It will all be over soon…     

Research in Library and Weekend Plan

Yesterday I went to our school library and found 3 books that are able to give me brief info on the role of the pope in general. This weekend I’m planning to write my whole essay again and include more of the context at the time and PJII actions for my essay to become clearer, which leads to the interpretations of him, and to acknowledge which one is more accurate.

My only issue is that I’m worried it’s not going to be a strong argument. But only time will tell.

I need to finish 2 more annotated bibliography’s and alter my synopsis.  

Only 1 week left now, I’m looking forward to the weekend and finally finishing my Major.

Feedback from Ms Russo

Hello

Ms Russo was able to read my essay over the weekend and today during lunch she was able to give me feeback on what I need to imrove and add into my essay.

Basically, I need to add in the role and priviliges of a pope at the time and I also need to try a different structere for my essay. She said I could also contrast him to another pope during that time. And by doing this I am able to establish if he measured up to the expectations of a pope at the time. With the context of what the role of the pope was, I can link him to this with my interpretations which will make more sense and I can base my judgment of him and his actions.

Ms Russo also said that I need to change my introduction to make it more interesting and also my wording, plus my conclusion. In other words I have more work to do, and I’m grateful she was able to help me with feedback which is what I needed.

I’m going to start writing my 4th draft this weekend and hopefully by monday I have it completed so I can get Ms Russo to read over it again.

I’m also going to make a mind map of my essay so I can see what I am doing and create a new structured essay.

I was a bit confused of what I needed to write in my essay after talking to Ms Russo as I didnt know if my essay would form into an ancient history essay- which focused more on the personality than the historiography. But after talking to Sir, he has made it clearer that I need to establish the context of each aspects of PJII’s interpretations which will then allow me to go foward with my essay and entwine the interpretations and the debate.

I have heaps to do, and so little time. Hopefully everything works out. I just need to stay positive and take into consideration the feedback and apply it to my Major.

FINISH 2ND & 3RD DRAFTS…but still heaps to do!

I know its late but, once again, like I always say, I have good and bad news.

The good news is that I’ve finally finished my 2nd draft after how long, plus I have done my Synopsis and 1 annotated bibliography, which I’m going to show Sir tomorrow and get feedback as usual. As well as I finished my 3rd draft which involved me editing my 2nd draft, deleting and adding things.

However, the bad news is that…I’m over the word count of 2,500 by 1,000 words, which means my Essay is 3,500 words. WHICH IS NOT GOOD!!! I’ve been a printing fanatic all night, printing 3 copies of my 3rd draft to give to Sir, Ms Russo and Ms Field tomorrow. Hopefully they are all at school and they can read it over the weekend and hand it back to me on monday, which would be excellent. My only trouble is extinguishing the 1,000 words that I went over, yet everything I’ve written, I think is relevant to my statement, but I’m probably wrong. If only the maximum was 5,000 words, oh it would be happy day for me. I always go over the required word count, but this time it escalated.

Anyways, I better stop typing and go to sleep now. Thumbs up everything goes well tomorrow and next week on monday, as I only have 2 weeks left now…and I stil have heaps to do!

Essay, Synopsis and Annotated Bibliography

Apologies to the long update on wiritng a blog. I’ve been held up with other assigments over the past weeks. On the plus side I have started writing my Synopsis as Sir has given us class time, and as well as I have also started on writing my 1st annotated bibliography. On the down side, I still haven’t finished my acutal draft, but due to the feedback from Sir I have been able to improve what I’m wirting about and what is relevant to use in my essay.  

I was able to work on the Tuesday last week on the 9th of June. More writing on the negative views part, I’ve started the part of the Patron of the Arts, and I have also written parts of my conclusion. However, once again, it still is a working progress. For tonight and tomorrow I wont be able to work on my Major as I have an oral assigment due on wednesday. But the good news is that I will be able to focus on my Major on the wednesday night, and throughout the week, plus the weekend. AND THEN FINALLY THIS WILL BE FINISHED. I will then be able to edit more of my essay, then send it once again to Ms Russo and also to Ms Field to help me with feedback.

The countdown is coming along…2weeks and 4 days, my, my, how time flys by.

4 Day Holiday

Hello

Because it’s my birthday on the 8th of June Monday, both my Saturday and Sunday are occupied with my family and friends parties so all my Major work will be done on the actual Monday and Tuesday. The plan is to get the essay finished and then to go over it and edit, then send it to Sir again and Ms Russo.

The great news was that yesterday Sir returned my essay thus far and gave me d and criticism that I was waiting for to help me. I won’t be able to go over it until M, because of my busy weekend and tonight I have work. So it’s going to be full throttle MAJOR!!!  Also during class today Sir dedicated the lesson for us to think and reflect about what we are going to write in our Synopsis. I have written down a couple things and I have also been referring to the 3 dot points which is our guide of what we need to put into it.

The only down part is that I have all this other heap of homework plus 2 other assignments to do as well, and I only have Monday and Tuesday to do it all, so once again I need to plan out what I’m going to be doing.

I just need to take it slow and easy and hope this 4 day holiday breezes by smoothly and I can get all this mass of homework and essay finished, and my assignments up to date. So once again…it’s still a working progress…

2nd Draft Almost Finished

Hello

Thus far, I have added a bit more onto the Liberator part of my essay, and I have almost finished the negative views part on PJII. The plan now, is to get everything done by next week, as it would be crazy of me not to do it. Luckily its the 4 day holiday next week as well, 2 days will be spent on my Major and homework. I have also resent my 2nd draft to Sir and printed it out as well to give him a hard copy. I have also sent Ms Russo what I have done so far so I can get feedback from her and what she thinks I need to improve on or get rid of.

Hopefully it all goes well and I can get the negative views part of PJII done soon, and start on the Patron of the Arts part, then finally my conclusion. And to sum it all up, more editing, deleting, adding and finishing and completing my referencing.
